Database of Recipes - My Favorite Filipino Recipes
Saturday 20 May 2006
Hi!
Finally after a long wait, the database of my recipes specially my filipino recipes is now online, plus my very first blog entry. And boy! Am I excited..?
This idea started when my husband noticed me (somewhat he always do!) taking my time surfing the net to look for recipes to prepare specially filipino recipes or pinoy recipes. Even though I’ve already had some of every kind of books of filipino recipes and other international recipe books, I’ve still found myself browsing filipino recipes on websites that interest me. I’ve collected much and I even had cooked and baked some of it and revised somewhat to suits my taste and style as well as to my family.
And that came up a personal database of all my recipes specially filipino recipes. Instead of keeping it all to myself, why not sharing it to everyone out there, specially to filipinos. And instead of browsing to different sites looking for a recipes, like filipino recipes or pinoy recipes, all over again, I’ll just have to open my personal site and grab those favorite filipino recipes and non-filipino recipes stored in the database. Isn’t it wonderful? And you too, could try all the recipes that I've made and collected.
In coming days, I'll be posting different types of filipino recipes and other favorite recipes that I have in my possession and a some blog entries. I’ll keep you posted then.
I’m having fun in making this site with my hubby. Hoping someday this site will be visible to all cooking enthusiast, specially to filipino, and it will become their personal reference or even their personal site of recipes in their computer or laptop. I'm glad that I’m sharing these to all of you!
Browse the main database of recipes and search your favorite filipino recipes and try all of them.
Happy cooking!
Take care and God bless, Giselle

hello! jaz wanna say thank you for sharing all these pinoy recipes. I've tried to cook the Embutido for our House Party last Nov04. It was a success! Our friends really loved it. I used chicken mince instead of pork and shorten the steaming/cooking time. One of my friends is asking for the recipe after the party.
Again, thanks so much. I will check out this site again for a another yummy recipe.

What's great about this site is that the ingredients aren't hard to find(at least in supermarkets here in the Philippines) and the steps aren't complicated. I'm a single guy living on my own. With my busy schedule, I manage to eat healthy and home-cooked meals. Yun nga lang, di ko na masyadong namimiss Mommy ko coz its like she's home with me
. I can bring my friends to my apartment pa and impress them with my cooking. Thanks a lot, Giselle!

Hello Giselle,
Your site is a blessing to me.... See.. My wife is Ilocana from San Fernando, La Union while I am Cebuano... How we came accross each other is a long story
, but anyway... She is very good on her Ilocano cooking
, which leaves me at the edge on my Cebuano dishes
, Then came your site with most all of it
.... I don't know how to thank you enough
.
You are a Godsent...
Kind Thanks
M. R. Codina

Food Recipe for the Soul
Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven, and blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before the people; and he divided the two fish among them all. And all ate and were filled. (Mark 6:41-42)
Oh Good Shepherd, give me the grace to be content always and to be gracious in accepting all Your blessings for my life. Amen.

it's all about my favorite filipino food recipe atbp...
