Ingredients : 1 cup water 2 tbsp. white vinegar 6 tbsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. ketchup 1 tsp. oyster sauce 1 tbsp. cornstarch dissolve in 3 tbsp. water Cooking Procedures : In a small saucepan, mix all 6 ingredients except the cornstarch. Heat over medium heat and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and then add dissolved cornstarch. Stir vigorously until thickened. Simmer for a minute. Lumpiang Sariwa Brown Sauce
Ingredients : 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed 1 tsp. salt 1/4 cup soy sauce 1 cup chicken stock (or water) 2 tbsp. cornstarch dissolved in 2 tbsp. water Cooking Procedures : Combine brown sugar, salt, soy sauce and chicken stock in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Add cornstarch solution and stir until thick, about a minute. Remove from heat. Serve with Lumpiang Sariwa (Fresh Spring Rolls).
