Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients : 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1 cup chopped onions 2 tsp. chopped garlic 2 tsp. chili flakes 3 cups pureed canned tomatoes 2 tbsp. cider vinegar 2 tbsp. brown sugar 2 tbsp. chili powder 2 tsp. ground cumin salt, to taste Cooking Procedures : Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet.  Add onions, garlic and chili flakes.  Sauté for 2 minutes, or until onions soften. Stir in tomatoes, vinegar, sugar, chili powder, cumin and salt.  Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until thickened. Makes about 2 cups. Read more »
