Barbecued French Fries

Quick and easy French fries without deep-frying.  Make lots, as everyone loves them.
Ingredients :

  • 1-1/2 lb. Yukon Gold potatoes
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • salt, to taste

Cooking Procedures :

  1. Preheat grill on high.  Prepare a metal baking pan.
  2. Peel potatoes and cut into thin French fries about 1/4 inch thick.  Spread in a single layer on the prepared pan and toss with vegetable oil and salt.  Cover with foil.
  3. Grill potatoes for 10 minutes, shaking dish occasionally.  Remove foil and cook for about 3 to 5 minutes longer, or until fries are crisp.  Drain well.
  4. Makes 6 servings.
