Fried Garlic

Fried garlic is a popular topping in Filipino cuisine. It is typically sprinkled on top of Arroz Caldo. Perfect fried garlic should be crisp and golden brown on the outside and slightly moist on the inside. You can store fried garlic in an airtight container for a couple of months without refrigeration.

Ingredients :

  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 10 cloves garlic, minced
(Measurements in Cooking)

Cooking Procedures :

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and stir-fry until crispy and golden brown. Be careful not to burn the garlic (quickly remove from the heat once the garlic begins to brown).  Strain garlic and drain on paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  2. Makes about 1/3 cup.
