Cream Sauce II

Ingredients :

  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 egg yolk beaten with
  • 1/2 tsp. vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. white pepper
(Cooking Measurements)

Cooking Procedures :

  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the flour until thoroughly blended.
  2. Add the water and stir.  When the sauce is smooth, add the egg yolk little by little, stirring constantly; taking care that the sauce does not boil.  Season with salt and pepper.
